January will always be my favorite month because it will always remind me that I am lucky to have great friends, a good job and an opportunity to do things for my country. I always re-evaluate my life when my birthday month comes and I am lucky that at the end of it, gratitude and happiness are my overwhelming emotions. I get to spend my birthday month with friends I choose to keep and I get to be more thankful of the people and things I have been given. Because really, everything else you achieve is worthless if there is no one to cheer you on when you’re doing it. Masaya mabuhay.
